| The City of Clearwater, FL is located in the
Pinellas peninsula midway on Florida's West Coast. Clearwater boasts
twenty-eight (28) miles of beautiful, white, sandy beaches on the Gulf of

Parks & Recreation, Human Resources, Solid Waste/Recycling, and Utilities.

Clearwater's population is approximately 110,000, plus about 20,000 winter residents. The 1990 United States Census counted 98,784 residents in Clearwater. Per the 2000 Census, Clearwater's population increased 10% to 108,787. Clearwater, Florida is a progressive city committed to enhancing residents' lives while preserving a heritage that is rich in culture and exquisite in landscape. Literally translated "Clear Water" from the native Indian "Pocotopaug", the area was named for its abundant fresh springs along the shore. Clearwater is friendly and socially responsive, and its City government is economically active and environmentally conscious.
